Greetings and happy new moon in Gemini!

At 6 a.m. on June 3, in the Eastern Time zone, the moon and sun will dance together at the 12th degree of Gemini. This Mercury-ruled sign of the twins blesses us with an eye toward logic and rational thinking. Akin to the butterfly, Gemini enjoys room to spread its wings. And like the bumble bee, it revels in the act of collecting pollen from a nice variety of flowers, to create its honey.

Think of this as an appropriate time for us humans to spread our wings, flit from place to place, chat things up with those in close proximity and perhaps play the role of the town crier. It’s all about gathering up and sharing information, while steering clear of gossip. Fortify the lungs, breathe in fresh air and distribute ideas as deftly as the winged creatures disseminate seeds and communicate their songs to listening ears.

The following day, Gemini’s planetary ruler Mercury swims into the nurturing sign of Cancer. Thoughts turn to one’s home and roots, paving the way for sentimental journeys. We are reminded of how we came to be, the experiences that shape us and the knowledge that our ideas can nurture those with whom we come in contact. Utilize the understanding of our unique histories to propel us forward.

By June 8, lovely Venus joins the sun in its journey through Gemini. She instills within us the love of variety, an appreciation for knowledge, reading and communication. Our thoughts and words are easily infused with love and kindness.

On June 17, the moon is full in the adventuresome sign of Sagittarius. The potential for restlessness is heightened, as we seek to balance logic and theory. We are reminded that there is no judgement associated with facts – they simply are. And we also recognize that our beliefs need not rely purely on facts. Such is the duality of life and the polarity of these two opposing signs.

As Mercury enters its shadow on June 20, thoughts of our familial connections emerge. It will be fitting to pull out photo albums and rediscover our history.

Slow-moving Neptune moves retrograde in Pisces on June 21, inspiring us to look inward and indulge in introspection and reflection.

Mercury makes his way into Leo on June 28. We ponder the appropriate place of the ego in our journeys as humans. Communication stems from the heart center and we take pride in our ability to direct our minds accordingly.

By July 1, Mars briefly accompanies Mercury on a journey through Leo. Our actions are motivated by loyalty and a heartfelt sent of purpose. We give ourselves permission to ham it up a bit, adding vitality to our expression. The urge to sport royal colors is palpable and we’re cognizant of the brilliance of gold and purple.

Thank you for listening. Another update comes your way as we get closer to our next solar eclipse in Cancer on July 2.

May we walk in peace.
