Medical Astrology

By looking at an astrological chart, a competent astrologer is able to assess the emotional and psychological makeup of an individual in addition propensities and rhythms within the physical body.Much like a therapy session, looking into a person's chart can pinpoint psychological issues that may need to be addressed in order for the patient to feel that they are getting to the root cause of their problem. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, believed one of the factors to be considered is the astrological chart of the patient. Hippocrates possessed an in-depth knowledge of astrological influences that reflected issues within the physical body, and he utilized his knowledge of astrology to undertake measures to correct physical problems, according to what was considered favorable timing based on planetary influences. His knowledge has been passed down throughout generations and is widely accepted as common practice among astrologers.

It has been shown that that a patient's preoperative emotional state may be closely tied to postoperative recovery and that a patient's religious belief is one of the principal determinants of anxiety before surgery.

For the holistically-minded patient, particularly if he or she follows astrology, knowing that they are taking action under the best possible timing can be a reassuring feeling.

The process for incorporating medical astrology into the timing of a procedure requires knowing the patient's birth date, time and place of birth. If the time is unknowable, the date alone will suffice. The medical astrologer also needs to know the part of the body to be operated upon, as well as any dates when the patient will be available as well as dates that are unworkable. Then the astrologer requires the dates that the surgeon is available.

Your medical astrologer will then report back to you with the best possible dates, in order of preference. We typically try to give two to three different good dates, but the numbers vary depending on current planetary cycles.

If the doctor is so willing, we may also ask for the birth information of the treating physician to be sure both doctor and patient are in sync.
