Jupiter in Sagittarius

Astrologically speaking, Jupiter is happy in this sign because this is the sign of its rule. Jupiter feels at home here. Being the largest planet in the solar system, it is all about doing things in a big way. (As some in political office would say, “YUGE!”) Sagittarius, being the sign of the archer, is no stranger to the broad brush. After all, that arrow was not designed for short-range travel.

The mood of this combination is one of optimism. And considering the fact that there are two other heavyweight planets, Saturn and Pluto, in very serious minded and productive Capricorn, this is a good counterbalance.

On a global level, there will be the urge for greater freedom and independence. This is already apparent as Brexit approaches early next year. Other countries may follow suit. Other outcomes include a grow thin the transportation and shipping industries, particularly those of an international nature. Amazon will expand its footprint in Long Island City and northern Virginia. The names of foreign countries may more easily slip off our tongues and foreign languages may become more commonplace, to the point where they no longer seem foreign. A greater sense of cultural inclusion may also be an outcome of this placement, as well as more radical extremism in others.

Outer space will likely be a wider ranging topic of discussion. Even space terminology could seep into our everyday vocabulary.

Animal populations are more likely to explode during this time, especially those the size of horses and larger. Freedom for animals showed up in the midterms, as Florida banned greyhound racing and California passed Proposition 12, establishing minimum space requirements for calves, breeding pigs and egg-laying hens.

Sports may also experience growth. Countries not necessarily considered worthy competition could prove otherwise. And sports may reach more places than ever before.

The field of law could also see a mushrooming, from the number of people employed to the number of fields it impacts.

Remember the days when emailing jokes was practically a national past time? A variation on that theme could well arise in the months ahead.

The potential stumbling blocks of Jupiter occupying its own turf are essentially those of size. Our eyes may be bigger than our stomachs, we may overextend ourselves and there could be a tendency to be gullible or naïve. Thanksgiving in July, anyone?

Aries:

The coming year will be custom made for traveling the globe, and the farther the better. If your passport isn’t up to date, make that a priority. The theme is one of widening your horizons, geographically or otherwise. If you get the urge to return to school or college, go for it. Your brain is hungry for more learning. Mastering a foreign language or learning about different philosophies or cultures are most fitting for this cycle.

Taurus:

Over the course of the year, honor urges to explore what you would define as mysteries. Shine the light on those dark crevices. This is a great time to delve into psychological or medical fields, due to the desire to understand what makes others tick. Appreciate the value of gut instincts and your ability to read between the lines. Increase insurance coverage, tend to your will and perhaps reap an inheritance. If you need to take out a loan in order to accomplish an important goal, do it.

Gemini:

There’s something to be said for partnerships and putting two heads together. If you’re currently in a partnership and feel the need for more elbow room, by all means, branch out. Your relationship will benefit as a result. If you’re looking for a relationship, the field is wide open. This is also an appropriate time to enter into legal contracts, as long as you’re not being naïve about the parameters. Seeking input from outside sources will prove helpful. You may be amazed at the doors that open, as a result.

Cancer:

Jupiter may offer wide ranging options to health matters over the year. Take into account techniques or approaches from elsewhere. This is a great time to have fun with your health, not to mention broadening athletic skills. On the job front, broaden your horizons. Travel. Take risks. There’s no lawagainst enjoying your work. You can expect to learn a great deal from your fellow co-workers and not just about your job. They may open your eyes to whole different walks of life.

Leo:

The gift that Jupiter hands you is one of permission to play and celebrate. Have fun. Indulge in the goodies and fineries of life. Go to performances at a variety of venues. Honor the child within you.Dance. Make a spectacle of yourself. Your stage presence is strong, making you easy to spot. Dress up for the occasion of life itself. Romance is definitely on the agenda, so put those flirtatious skills to work.Spend time around children, if only to see the world through their eyes

Virgo:

As Jupiter moves through your solar fourth House the next twelve months, explore other places that feel like a second home. You may be pleasantly surprised at how warmly you’re welcomed. And when you’re at home, give yourself plenty of space to stretch out. Your home needs to be a fun place to be.Foreigners are drawn to your doorstep, sporting a jovial presence. And animals may also find their way to you, as well.

Libra:

Plan on doing more traveling through the fall of next year. Your curiosity level is high and if you play your cards right, some of those trips may very well just fall in your lap. Some of these trips may be more regional in nature, but it’s still travel, nonetheless. If you’ve been toying with the idea of learning another language, you couldn’t pick a better time than now. An expansion of vocabulary or a widening of your literary interests is fitting. Get to know what’s happening in your neighboring areas and participate in the fun.

Scorpio:

“Easy come, easy go” may be your financial motto while Jupiter occupies your neighboring sign. You’re more likely to be making major purchases, which is a great opportunity for putting your sleuth skills to work. Investing in businesses involving shipping or foreign entities is timely. Your talents may be worth a lot more these days, perhaps due to greater demand. So shop around to be sure that your going rate is at least on par with those of your standing.

Sagittarius:

As your ruling planet makes his way through your sign, you’re more likely than ever to throw caution to the wind. Janis Joplin’s got nothing on you when it comes to declaring your freedom. And, the more, the merrier. No one will have to ask twice if you’re ready for a road trip. Whether it’s physical or ideological, you’re ready to spread your wings. Sometimes waistlines expand under this cycle as well.

Capricorn:

The next twelve months will likely be etched in your subconscious for a long time. In some ways, it’s as if you’re wrapping up one side of your life, in preparation for another. Tie up those loose ends and pay attention to opportunities that uncannily fall in your lap. Give yourself permission to go into hiding to shut down for a while. Regrouping is vital. Your guardian angels are lending a hand in the steering of your ship. And that’s perfectly okay.

Aquarius:

As Jupiter graces your solar 11th House through next fall, you’re well-placed to branch out socially. As you widen your net, be sure to include people from an array of ideological standings. Those who have traveled abroad seem to have particular appeal. You’ll learn so much. Travel will also be on your own agenda, more so than usual. Having friends in distant places is a good excuse to wander the globe.Behold the ripple effect, as your net widens!

Pisces:

Jupiter’s impact in the months ahead offers you ample opportunity to spread your wings on a professional level. More travel may be involved in your job and dealing with those from other countries will prove successful. This is the time to dream big and make it happen. And the more you succeed, the happier everyone is around you. There’s no law that says work has to be laborious. You’ll be living proof that fun can be had while making a buck.
